| How To Reach: | To reach from Bangalore, follow the Bannerghatta road to south Bangalore. It is best to take one of the regularly plying state transport buses or hire a taxi to reach the park. |
Bannerghatta National Park is about 25 km from Bangalore. It was established in the year 1971 and includes ten reserve forests of the Anekal Range. It spreads over an area of 104 sq. km.
Bannerghatta National Park of Karnataka is home to lions, tigers, panthers and various species of birds. The place has a huge canopy of shady trees. The park also has an aquarium, a zoo, children park, crocodile farm, snake park, prehistoric animals park and a museum.
Wild animals like Elephant, gaur, leopard, jackal, fox, wild pig, sloth bear, leopards, sambar, chital, spotted deer, barking deer, common langur, bonnet macaque, porcupine and the hare are found here. Other inhabitants include wild boars, sloth bears, pangolin, slender loris, huge monitor lizards as well as cobras, pythons, kraits and Russell vipers roam the park.
Safari : In the Safari rides, visitors are taken around a mini bus through the enclosed and protected area of the animals to roam around freely. White Tigers, Bengal Tigers make up for the Tiger Safari, Lions Safari and Bear Safari in the carnivores' section.

Butterfly Park
One of the major attractions of the Bannerghatta National Park is a Butterfly Park, the first of its kind in India. The butterfly conservatory is a circular enclosure stretching over an area of 10,000 sq ft, covered by a polycarbonate roof. There are approximately 20 species of butterflies at the conservatory, which has an adjusted environment that suits the butterflies.

Pearl Valley
Situated around 25 km from the park is the beautiful pearl valley. A popular picnic spot, the area is surrounded by thick vegetation which still harbors some wild animals.
Nrityagram
India's first dance village, the Nrityagram is situated just 32 km from the park.
The area is of major interest to the visitors and more than 10 lakh tourists throng the place every year.
